A self-made oiler, or how he refers to himself — oilman, who just started his own drilling business with primitive XIXth—XXth centuries’ edge technologies knee deep in mud with a broken leg and eventually developed it into a major rich company, assuming fertile grounds like a forestfire; this movie is completely about inhumanly selfish person. The story of how man can develop and foster all the hatred inside him into a pure sinister mad evil, which could easily allow him to throw out his adopted son, to kill people in an unstoppable rage condition, to finally release his fury accumulated over the years.

There were only three people he was close to: instant orphan, raised by him, a lot more instant «brother» and a freaky insane prophet. All of them he rids of. He said once, that he only wants to earn enough money to get away from all of the mankind, whom (and almost everyone) he hates so much. Well, if so, it was a brilliant success. The only friend that he’d got left was an alcohol. Because when sober he can’t lie to himself — about taking the child only to have around a cute little face to make bargains way more easier, about fake brother, who means no harm and would really become an only friend, and even about stupid church of a third revelation, which was started and eventually was ended because of him. His life has been full of mistakes, and it is too late to fix anything. There is a desperate loneliness ahead and nothing more.
